Cancellation Policy & Important Info

Please read before booking:

To keep everyone safe and make sure your pet gets the best care possible, meet & greets are required BEFORE any services are rendered. This helps us get to know your pet and your needs, and ensures a smooth experience for everyone involved.

Policies:

  • Give Us a Full Day’s Notice: We need at least 24 hours heads-up if you want to cancel.

  • Late Cancellations: If you cancel less than 24 hours before your scheduled visit, we’ll charge 50% of the service fee. (For example: If your visit is Tuesday and you cancel Monday, the fee applies.)

  • Life Happens: We get it—emergencies pop up. Just let us know, and we’ll work with you case-by-case.

  • Deposits for Multiple Visits: If you book multiple visits, a 25% deposit is due the day before your first visit, or your services may be canceled. We also require a credit card on file.

  • Check Your Client Portal: Your quotes and invoices live in your client portal anytime. It’s important to check them before services start and ask any questions. We can’t adjust prices or fees after services are done if invoices aren’t reviewed.

To make sure your pet’s spot is saved and your peace of mind is locked in, we require a 25% deposit on the following services:

  • Home-Style Boarding — Because your pup deserves their VIP spot in our cozy dog-loving home.

  • Bed & Biscuits Overnight Service — To guarantee your pet gets the full snuggle-and-care experience with one of our superstar sitters.

Deposits are our “paw-some promise” that we’re all in — ready to spoil your pets silly and keep your home safe while you’re away.

Cancelations? We get it — life happens! Just give us a heads-up so we can shuffle schedules and keep tails wagging.

  • Pay Directly Through Client Portal: In the client portal you can pay using your credit card, debit card or Bank Checking Account.

  • We proudly provide pet care throughout Virginia Beach and the greater Hampton Roads area, including Great Neck, Shore Drive, Hilltop, and surrounding neighborhoods.

  • We offer Daily Drop-In Visits & Walks, Bed & Biscuits Overnight Care, Homestyle Dog Boarding, Cat Boarding (Casa Bells & Spikes), and Dog Daycare. Each service is personalized to your pet’s needs, routines, and quirks — from senior pups to high-energy puppies, and even small animals, reptiles, or cats.

  • Homestyle boarding means your pet stays in a real home, not a commercial facility. No kennels, no long hours alone — just comfy couches, safe play areas, and routines tailored to your pet. We replicate their home habits, meals, sleep routines, and favorite comforts to make them feel truly at ease.

  • Yes! Meet & greets are mandatory before any service. This helps us learn your pet’s routines, quirks, fears, and special needs — and ensures a smooth experience for everyone involved.

  • For Homestyle Boarding, drop-offs and pick-ups are between 8–11 AM.
    We try to accommodate special requests when possible — just ask!

  • Absolutely! We welcome anxious pups, senior dogs, shy cats, quirky rescues, and pets with medical needs. Our team is trained in animal CPR, fear-free handling, and behavior management, so your pet is safe, comfortable, and loved.

  • Yes! We administer oral and topical medications as part of both visits and boarding. We follow your instructions closely to ensure your pet gets the care they need without stress.

  • We love extra love! Additional fees apply for holidays, puppies under 1 year, and more than two pets. Each situation is personalized to ensure every pet gets the attention they deserve.

  • Yes! Dogs and cats are carefully introduced and monitored. Our home is fully vaccinated, and pets only interact in safe, supervised settings. For cat boarding, our shared space is ideal for social felines — solo kitties or divas may require private arrangements.

  • Definitely! We provide daily photo updates, texts, or emails so you can see your pet’s adventures, snuggles, and playtime in real time. Peace of mind is part of the package.

  • We recommend booking early for holidays, peak travel times, or weekends. For daily visits, drop-ins, and boarding, short-notice requests are possible (less than 72 hours) with a $25 fee. Meet & greets are still required before the first stay.

  • Yes! Every member of our Bells & Spikes team is fully insured, background-checked, and trained in animal CPR and fear-free handling. Safety is our top priority — because loving your pets is only part of the job. We make sure they’re cared for, happy, and secure every step of the way.
